Problem. A medium sized
company, with two locations, specialized in decorative rock and
gravel. They had both on-site and traveling employees.
They sought out T-21 to help select a mobile telephone service plan.
The Business Partner explained, "We're so busy here, nobody has the time to track down
and compile all of the details and select the best one. But, as we've
found out - if we make a mistake, it can hurt, since they usually lock us in
for at least a year or two." He added that
their primary concerns were: Reliability, Coverage, Costs, and Services.
Plan. Their T-21
Team Manager (TM) assembled a Mobile Plan Team to estimate their needs from previous
billings, range of employee travel, and the amount of internal and external communications.
Action. T-21 constantly updates data on major plans,
so the Team consulted our database and compared the company's needs with
current offerings and local availability. Then, they explored current sales promotions. Within a few days, they completed a
"Best-Service / Least Cost" analytical report.
Results. The Team
sent the company three alternative
plans, in order of estimated cost-effectiveness. For each
alternative, the report included an analysis
of
the costs, coverage, equipment, service, reliability, and Special
Promotions.
The company selected the Team's first
recommendation and purchased the
phones and plans. "No complaints," the owner
commented in a follow-up conversation. "Our people like the phones, the coverage is good, and the costs are lower than
our last plan."
